With 9 cutting edges per bit, directional cuts can be made in any direction: forwards, backwards, sideways, straight and curved with remarkable ease and accuracy. They operate smoothly in all directions and resist jumping out of channels, plus they cut with such efficiency that you can use relatively low powered drills.
MAD Bits not only drill conventional holes, but can also form mortices, channels and even curved channels as well as flat bottomed holes for recessed hinges.
